OxyGenesis Breathing Institute Offers Full Day Breathing
Intensive;
Workshop Focuses on Oxygenating Body for Optimal Health and
Wellbeing
York, ME., March 5, 2002-Thanks to a Portsmouth
Herald book review of Breathe Deep, Laugh Loudly (by
Dr. Judith Kravitz), 87 year old Reba Sloan of Kittery Point
has overcome terminal emphysema by utilizing the breathing
techniques in the book. Mrs. Sloan bought and read the book
at a time when she could barely lift it due to severe weakness.
Yet, she will be driving herself to the upcoming OxyGenesis
Breathing Intensive on March 23, 2002, from 10AM to
4PM in York Beach, Maine. Mrs. Sloan will be a guest and participant
in this day long workshop open to the public.
OxyGenesis Breathing is a method for retraining the
body to breathe more fully, which oxygenates cells
throughout the body. "More than 80% of us are shallow
breathers, which reduces the level of oxygen in our bodies,"
says OxyGenesis founder, Lois Grasso, "This chronic
lack of oxygen contributes to cardio-vascular disease,
reduced brain function, depression, fatigue and a myriad other
physical and mental disorders."
Participants in the workshop will learn and experience various
breathing techniques from two certified Transformational Breath
Facilitators, including Lois Grasso, CTF, Donna Packard M.Ed.
Donna Packard, of York Beach ME, says, "This breathwork
can open restricted breathing patterns, clear chronic emotional
and physical tension or trauma, and renders the individual
able to respond to life's challenges in healthy, creative
ways."
According to the book Breathe Deep, Laugh Loudly,
everyone can benefit from learning to breathe more fully;
from children and babies, to people with few symptoms who
just want to de-stress, and to those like Reba Sloan, who
lives an active life after feeling like she had weeks to live.
In an interview for Our Times magazine, Reba explains, "At
78 lbs., I was bed-ridden and barely able to take a breath.
After working with Donna Packard for several months, my lungs
are clear and I have times when I not dependent on my oxygen
tank. I now live an independent lifestyle. The breathwork
even stopped my struggle with constipation!" (paraphrased)
The workshop will take place on March 23rd, from 10AM to
4PM and includes a healthy lunch. The charge is $60 per person
or $95 for two people. Those who register before March 18th
will receive a 15% discount.
Participants should wear loose clothing, and bring a blanket
and pillow for comfort. Lois Grasso says, "Be prepared
for a fun, informative, stress-free day in a beautiful home
on the edge of the ocean!" For more information, or to
make reservations, call Donna Packard at 207-363-1925 or email
